Right after you verify your email, FourFoxes asks How do you want to start? You can practice in a ready-made sample account first, or go straight to your own empty account. The sample holds a fermented hot sauce product, two batches, and a pH check that is due today. Nothing in it is real, and it is deleted when you switch to your own account.
Choose how to start
- Verify your email with the six-digit code. You land on How do you want to start?
- Click Explore the sample setup to open the sample account, or Start with real production to go to your own account. Either way you land on the Today dashboard.
The two cards are offered only on this screen. If you start with real production, the Today dashboard shows your starter setup and the Your first packaged batch checklist instead. See Set up your account with the starter setup.
What is in the sample
- A product type, Sample Fermented Hot Sauce, and a product, Sample Ghost Pepper Sauce.
- A pH Check CCP that passes at or below pH 4.2 and is checked every batch.
- Batch 1, packaged three days ago with a passing pH of 3.60 on file.
- Batch 2, still fermenting and ready to package. Its pH check is the open item on the dashboard.
The sample account is named Sample followed by your company name. You use it with the Member role, so you can log batches and checks, but you cannot invite teammates or manage billing. Invoice scanning is turned off in the sample, and no alert emails are sent from it. Nothing you do in the sample touches your own account's records.
Try the guided loop
While you are in the sample, a navy Sample mode bar shows at the top of every page. The Today dashboard also shows a tip, Try it: package this batch and log its pH.
- Package batch 2. See Package a batch and set its batch code.
- Click Log the pH check on the tip. The form opens with the batch and the pH Check already chosen.
- Enter the reading and save. That is the whole loop: a packaged batch with its check on record.
To hide the tip, click its close button. It stays hidden until you sign out.
Switch to your own account
- Click Switch to live in the Sample mode bar.
- Read the Switch to live? page and click Switch to live and delete the sample. To keep practicing, click Stay in the sample instead.
- You land on your own Today dashboard with a message that the sample account was removed.
Switching deletes the whole sample account: the sample product and product type, both batches, the pH Check, and every pH log, including anything you added. Your own account, your login, and your trial are not touched. Your trial keeps running while you are in the sample. The batch you packaged in the sample still counts toward your getting-started progress.
A sample account is deleted automatically seven days after you open it, even if you never click Switch to live. You are moved back to your own account the next time you load a page. Switching cannot be undone, and there is no button to bring the sample back, so do not record real production in it.
