Questions people actually ask.
What happens if I hit my monthly batch limit?
On a paid plan, nothing stops. You'll see a warning in the app at 80% of your limit, and at the limit every batch you log still saves — batch creation never pauses on a paid plan. Nothing is ever deleted: every existing record, export, and report keeps working. The one exception is the Free tier: Free includes 5 batches a month, and batch logging pauses at 10 (2× the cap) until you upgrade. Imports are never blocked on any plan.
What counts as a batch?
One production run logged in FourFoxes. Viewing, editing, packaging, or exporting existing batches never counts against the limit; only creating a new batch record in a calendar month does.
Can I bring in my existing records?
Yes. Our own production history at Off The Deck Hot Sauce came across as one migration, and that same path is open to every new account. If your history lives in spreadsheets, contact us and we'll help you map it in.
Why does Scale say “talk to sales” if it shows a price?
Because the price is real. Scale is $399/mo (or $4,788/year), and the conversation is about scoping your onboarding, compliance requirements, and export formats — not about discovering a hidden number. You'll talk to a person, but the number is the number.
Can I pause my subscription in the off-season?
Yes. Seasonal producers can pause for up to 4 months per calendar year. While paused, your account is read-only: every record, export, and report stays available, and nothing is deleted. Resume whenever production starts back up.
