Log a CCP check from the floor

Open Food Safety, then Monitoring, pick batch-linked or standalone, enter the reading, and save. The record is locked once saved.

You can log a check two ways: from the Monitoring page, or inline on a batch's packaging screen.

From the Monitoring page

  1. Open Food Safety, then Monitoring.
  2. Choose Batch-Linked Log Entry if the check belongs to a batch, or Standalone Log Entry for checks like cooler temperature.
  3. For a batch-linked entry, pick the Batch. The list shows batches from the last 30 days.
  4. Pick the Critical Control Point.
  5. Enter the Measured Value for numeric checks, or set the Result for pass/fail checks.
  6. The date and time are pre-filled with now. Adjust if you are logging late. Future times are rejected.
  7. Add notes if needed, then click Save Monitoring Record.

From the packaging screen

The packaging page lists the product's CCPs with a counter like "2/3 recorded". Enter the value in the row and click Save. This works the same in simple and advanced mode.

For numeric CCPs, FourFoxes compares your measured value to the critical limit and sets Pass or Fail itself. You cannot pass a reading that is out of limit. If a check was skipped, choose N/A (Not Performed) and say why in the notes; a reason is required.

Logging checks requires the Member role or higher.

Records are permanent

A monitoring record cannot be edited or deleted after you save it. Check the value before saving. If you make a mistake, log a new record and explain in its notes.
