The setup wizard builds your account's reference data in one sitting, so batches and checks work on day one. Only the account owner can run it.
- Open the account menu and click Setup Wizard.
- Step 1: product types. Pick from common starting points (fermented hot sauce, jam, kombucha, and more) or add your own.
- Step 2: critical control points. Choose the CCP templates that apply to your products, or add a custom one. Templates come with limits and corrective action text you can edit later.
- Step 3: instruments. List your thermometers, pH meters, and other measurement tools. Serial numbers can be added later under Calibration.
- Steps 4 and 5: calibration methods and reasons. Pick how and why you calibrate, so calibration logging has the right choices ready.
- Step 6: products. Add each product, its type, and which CCPs apply.
- Click Finish Setup. A summary shows everything that was created.

New accounts come with a little example data so screens are not empty. The finish page offers to remove it once your real setup exists.
You can leave at any point with the skip link; nothing is created until you finish. Running the wizard again later is safe: it adds new items without duplicating what you already have.
Everything the wizard creates is a normal record you can edit afterward: product types under Settings, CCPs under Food Safety, instruments under Calibration.
